Brutal truth.Brave Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) regional governors for the central region have told former President Peter Mutharika in the face that he is being misled by ‘four power hungry’ politicians in the DPP.
Probably one of the messages that could not have been delivered to him had he still be State President, Mutharika looked in disbelief when the message was delivered in a clear and audible voice.
Mutharika was also told point blank that the four, DPP’s organizing Secretary Chimwemwe Chipungu, Political Advisor Francis Mphepo, National Executive Committee (NEC) member Joseph Mwanamveka and Publicist Brown Mpinganjira will finish the party and money.
The governors met Mutharika at his retirement home in Mangochi. Ironically Mphepo and Chipungu were present. Eeeer they also organized the meeting!
The Governors also warned Mutharika against raping DPP’s constitution by among others firing people who were duly elected by delegates during Party’s convention.
Meanwhile, the governors have asked President Mutharika to call for an early convention for people to elect leaders of their choice. District Governors from Kasungu, Nkhotakota, Mchinji and Dedza spoke on behalf of their colleagues to the astonishment of Chipungu and Mphepo who watched in disbelief.
